The principle of a detox bath: to sweat to relax muscles, drain and eliminate toxins. Those of the body and why not, those that encumber your mind ... Aromatic baths are not intended for the toilet but are above all intimate and warm rituals. So take a quick shower, turn off your phone, light candles and dive into the hot water ...

1 / A hyperthermic bath to eliminate

Sweating is one of the ways to flush out the toxins. The heat stimulates the blood circulation and allows a better irrigation of the tissues. The waste eliminated by the sweat glands is the same as that evacuated by the kidneys.

Fill the bottom of the tub with some lukewarm water and sit down. Gradually add water to cover the entire body to the neck. The water must be hot but not hot (everyone has its tolerance threshold). If it gets cold, add water to keep the bath at the correct temperature (as hot as you can withstand it) for 15 to 20 minutes.

At the end of the bath, swaddle in a large towel and blanket before lying down for half an hour. This rest allows the body to finish sweating and regain its balance.

As part of a detox cure, do two hyperthermic baths per week, spaced two or three days.

Attention, this bath is not suitable for people who have varicose veins or suffering from cardiovascular diseases.

2 / A draining bath for the evening

This aromatic bath promotes harmonization of energy, strengthens the metabolism and accompanies the elimination of toxins.

Do not pour the essential oils directly into the bath water. They will stay on the surface and may be irritating to the skin. Dilute the HE in 20 cl water-based base (a neutral shower gel or a glass of almond milk or oat) before pouring into the bath water.

  • 5 drops of lemon ( Citrus limonum )
  • 5 drops of juniper ( Juniperus communis )
  • HE 5 drops of rosemary verbenone ( Rosmarinarus officinalis verbenoniferum L. )

Take the time to breathe calmly and deeply to enjoy the molecules of essential oils. After at least 20 minutes, finish with a cool shower on the legs, feet to the thighs. A feeling of warmth must emerge, it is a sign of good vitality.

3 / A bath "flat stomach"

This aromatic bath is particularly invigorating thanks to the lemon which has anticellulite virtues. Tarragon essential oil improves digestion. On the emotional side, this oil is effective for boosting concentration and self-confidence.

  • 5 drops HE lemon ( Citrus limonum )
  • 5 drops HE tarragon ( Artemisia dracunculus )
  • 5 drops peppermint HE ( mentha x piperita)

Dilute these HE in 20 cl of water-dispersing base before pouring into the bath water at 37 or 38 ° C. Breathe deeply for half an hour. Finish with a cool shower to energize you.
